Sagar Uzta in Astigarraga
Astigarraga is a town with strong ties to cider; not surprisingly, along with Hernani, it is considered to be the birthplace of this beverage.
So, all those who make their way to Astigarraga can have a taste of the first apple juice, as well as contemplating, in situ, the process of how it is made. The festival coincides with the start of the apple pressing and it is this fruit that is the focus of all activities.
Highlights of the programme are the exhibition and sale of various products (native apples, cider, apple jelly ...) and several demonstrations.
