For me, it's a matter of quality of life; it has everything: nature, mountains, rivers, sea…

Gabriela Uriarte · Co-presenter of “A bocados” (ETB2)

Hi! I'm Gabriela Uriarte, graduate in human nutrition and dietetics and co-presenter of “A bocados” (ETB2) with chef Ander González.

Gipuzkoa is all about feeling at home. I think anyone who comes to visit us here leaves a little bit of themselves behind, because you immediately feel part of the culture, the people, etc.

For me, it's a matter of quality of life; it has everything: nature, mountains, rivers, sea… kind people with a long and deep-rooted culture. It's the local cuisine, the rain, the sky...

La Concha beach

As a good donostiarra, raised in San Sebastian city centre, the La Concha beach is very special for me and it's been the backdrop to my whole life. After a long day on the beach with my friends, I love staying there until dusk.

Getaria with its barbeque grills

I can think of no better way of spending a summer afternoon than to stroll through the streets of the village in the twilight stopping for some delicious squid at the Mayflower followed by a grill in any of the local restaurants. You can't go wrong.

Zuberoa and its wonderful staff

There aren't many restaurants left like it —not only because of its food and its delicious cheesecake— but for everyone working there. They make you feel at home the moment you set foot in the door.
